Do I Have To Report The Music I Use?
Yes please; it is important to ensure our composers get paid. For individual track purchase and download you will be prompted to supply the name of the audio visual production the music is being used in. For blanket licences we offer an easy solution for obtaining your cue sheet data, allowing you to export all the relevant information into a Microsoft Excel file. Simply create a playlist with all used tracks, then click the export playlist button; simple as that. It is important to log the publisher, composer, title, and duration of each track with the Broadcasters so that composers are paid their Performance Royalties (this does not include PPL). For any questions on cue sheets just get in touch.
MCPS And Synctracks Use?
Yes you can use both together. There are plenty of different avenues for people to obtain production music, and there is nothing to restrict users from having both an MCPS blanket license and licenses from other sources. Likewise if you have a blanket licence with Synctracks, there are no restrictions to prevent you from using other sources to obtain your production music as well.
How Do I Create An Online Account?
Registering an account is simple; just click the register link in the tool bar on the top of any page. Here you fill out basic company and contact details; click register new account and you will be sent a confirmation email to set your personal password. As the account owner you can invite other members of your team too.
What Do I Get From The Online Account?
Creating an account allows you to create and share unlimited playlists, logs your listening and download activity, download music and pay via your credit card for single track purchases. My Synctracks holds your account information as well as your download file preference, you can manage your account and invite colleagues. You will also get the latest news first on new products and services we have to offer our members.
Personal users, home users or students are able to register in order to purchase and download tracks but are not offered accounts.
Why Choose An Annual Blanket Licence With Us?
Our Blanket Licences provide unlimited access to all our tracks in both the Synctracks and Classical libraries for an episode, series or for the whole year. For a set annual fee you will be able to use as much of our music in your productions as you want, without worrying about individual track purchase. If the blanket licence you require isn't listed just tell us what you require and we'll create something just for you.
Is The Classical Library Included In My Blanket Licence?
Absolutely. We want to keep it simple and offer our Classical Library as part of any blanket licence, so no separate licence is required to access and use our Classical Collection.
My Organisation Has Already Purchased A Synctracks Blanket Licence. Can I Access And Use Their Licence?
Yes you can, follow the details above, (How do I become an online member?) and once you have filled out your details click add to existing account. From here we will deal with your request as soon as possible, and email you confirmation when your account is ready to be used under your organisation's existing blanket licence.
How Can I Pay For Tracks
Individual tracks can be licensed and paid for on our site using a credit card (all credit card transactions will be processed in pound sterling only). Simply click the download button and the selected track will be added to your basket. Then choose your region (UK only at present), type of licence / usage then process your transaction through Worldpay.

How Do I Start Searching For Music?
Search Tool bar – our search bar runs along the top of most pages on the Synctracks website. Enter multiple search criteria here to build up and refine your search (i.e. genre, instrument, mood, era, geographical, composer). You can also search specific albums or your own playlists or free text for description searches or track titles.
Advanced Search – found at the far right of the search bar. Click on it and a drop menu will provide further criteria to refine your search.
Synctracks Downloader
Download entire playlists with out very own Synctracks Downloader.
You must have or install Adobe AIR, then you can install the Synctracks Downloader from the bottom of your playlist area (both of these are one off downloads). For ease of use create a shortcut to the downloader on your desktop.
Once you have installed the Synctracks Downloader you will have the option to download all on any playlist (permitting the appropriate blanket is placed against your account). This will export all tracks that are currently within your open playlist to your Synctracks Downloader. You will also have a Show Downloader button which will bring your downloader's window to the front.
All downloaded tracks will be saved in a Syntracks Downloads folder which will automatically be created on your desktop, or you have the option to choose your music location on the downloaders interface. Within the Synctracks Downloader you have the ability to view completed or incomplete track downloads, cancel pending tracks and are able to view and clear your history. Choose your audio format in My Synctracks sound settings, this must be done prior to starting your downloads.

Playlists - How To Create, Edit And Export Cue Sheet Data
On the right side of most pages The Playlist tool is present with a drop menu. When you've registered an account with us you can create unlimited playlists within your account.

The dropdown menu will display, allow you to select, edit and alter all of your created playlists. You can also share playlists by selecting the show in results option, then simply copy and paste the url. When you've downloaded tracks automatic playlists will be created in case you want to export their data for your cue sheets.
What Is The Keyword Cloud?
Help in optimizing your search! This tool takes most commonly found keywords within your current search to help you find more music and inspire ideas to narrow your search or start a new one. Clicking a word will automatically add it to your search. Think of it as your thesaurus for the Synctracks website. The bigger the font of the word, the more it has shown up within your search.

Cue Sheet Assistance
Here at Synctracks we try to make completeing your cue sheets as simple as possible, and have created a simple way for you to export all your needed data.
First, create a playlist of all the tracks you have used in the production you wish to log and export data for. We recommend keeping playlists as logs or using your download or last played history in My Synctracks. Click the more button on your playlist toolbar and click on the main playlist page button to overview the playlist in it's own page. From there you can create a record of the tracks you have used on a particular produciton. From the main playlist area on most pages simply click export playlist. This will automatically download all the contained meta data into an Microsoft Excel file for your convenience.
